La Nuit n'est pas un chocolat

Saturdag 5th of february 2005, Oosterpoort Groningen

The public was blindfolded and asked to take off their shoes and socks. Then they followed a route of different textures with fragrances ans whispering voices. Upon arrival in the hall a soft pillow was waiting and they listened to a concert for about an hour. They heard childchoir and many soundscapes from dseveral instruments, Bulgarian singing, electro and classical music. After this the public was escorted backstage en when the blindfold was removed they stood face-to-face with a poet or a dancer who gave a private little show in a dressing room.
The shoes were displayed in the room before the lobby where there was food (sushi), drink (minttea), a hair styling or a massage. The lobby was dramaticly changed by a theatre-decorator into an area where the public could relax amongst pillows, couches, tapestry and a bed.
The night continued with a very quiet concert where once again different styles came together. Highlights were te performances from dancers Galili Dance and pianovirtuoso Didel Bish. Slowly the DJ set in and the projections became more violent. In the end a dancing crowd took the stage.
