Summernightdream

In the 2006-2007 season, Merlijn Twaalfhoven will be realising a large-scale community arts project, {Droom} in the Zaanstad area in collaboration with his project foundation La Vie sur Terre, Kunst & Cultuur Noord Holland and the municipality of Zaanstad. In the course of the entire year, a multi-faceted and creative process will give birth to a unique collaborative effort in which amateur musicians, local professionals, amateur dancers, theatre amateurs, children, housewives and husbands, pastry makers, road workers and every other imaginable group from the Zaanstad region will be invited to participate.

Merlijn will be immersing himself in the culture of Zaandam and will extract a wonderful and unique series of performances from this that will lead to an apotheosis of a number of performances on the Hembrugterrein in June of 2007.
